About the position

The Mental Health/Disabilities Manager will oversee mental health and disability services for Child Services programs at CCAA. This role involves leadership in planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating systems related to mental health and disabilities, while also representing the agency in various communities. The manager will direct the identification process for children with disabilities and mental health concerns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and providing expert guidance on related topics.

Responsibilities

  • Manage mental health and disability services for all Child Services children's programs.
  • Provide leadership in planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating mental health and disability systems.
  • Represent the agency in local, regional, state, and national communities.
  • Direct the identification process for children with disabilities and mental health concerns.
  • Refer and monitor early intervention, mental health, and community services.
  • Provide expert guidance on mental health, early intervention, and disabilities topics.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations, state licensing regulations, and agency policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to childhood mental health, development, or disability (required).
  • Valid LPC license or mental health certification (required).
  • One year of experience working with young children (preferred).
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional, and physical needs of low-income families.
  • Experience working with low-income families and the general public.

Nice-to-haves

  • Head Start experience.
  • Strong understanding of Head Start Performance Standards and content areas.
  • Thorough knowledge and application of developmentally appropriate practices.
