About the position
Imani Behavioral Health is seeking experienced pre-licensed or licensed Mental Health Professionals (LPC or LMSW/LCSW) to join their multidisciplinary practice in Nashville or Clarksville, TN. The role involves providing mental health counseling to individuals, families, couples, and groups dealing with various issues such as stress, anxiety, mood disorders, and substance abuse. The practice operates seven days a week, offering flexible morning and evening hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide mental health counseling to individuals, families, couples, and groups.
- Conduct professional evaluations and make treatment recommendations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for clients.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage with clients from diverse backgrounds and provide culturally competent care.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Professional Counseling or a related field from a CACREP Accredited Program.
- Progressing towards licensure in the state of Tennessee (LPC-MHSP, TLPC, LMSW).
- At least 1 year of experience in mental health counseling.
- Knowledge and clinical experience with children, teens, and/or adults with mental health issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to make professional evaluations and treatment recommendations.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in group work preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of current theoretical approaches to counseling services.
