The specialist is expected to model effective communication and recovery-oriented skills while assisting clients in identifying and achieving their personal recovery goals.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients in a therapeutic manner.
• Model good communication skills, recovery-oriented living skills, effective coping skills, and self-help strategies.
• Assist clients in identifying personal recovery goals and setting objectives for each goal.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to identify emotional, psychiatric, or behavioral changes.
• Help clients address problems effectively and refer them to appropriate clinical staff as needed.
• Advocate for appropriate resources for clients based on assessed needs.

Requirements

• Four years of full-time paid experience in a mental health or human service field, or a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
