In this role, you will provide supportive counseling and facilitate support groups, conduct psychosocial assessments, and implement therapeutic interventions. You will also be responsible for educating patients and their caregivers about available community resources. Your work will be guided by a compassionate approach, ensuring that you address the unique psychosocial needs of oncology patients. Collaboration with a multi-disciplinary treatment team is essential, as you will participate in discussions and planning to optimize patient care. This position requires a valid California license as a mental health provider (LMFT or LCSW) and a minimum of five years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology, palliative care, and end-of-life issues, along with bilingual capabilities in Spanish being a preferred qualification. The role demands flexibility in working hours and locations to meet the needs of the department and its patients. Employment is contingent upon passing a criminal background check and a pre-employment physical examination.
