The Mental Health Worker is a member of a multidisciplinary team. The Mental Health Worker serves as co-team leader, partnered with a Master's level therapist and is responsible for providing team and individually delivered therapy and case management to children and their families in the home and/or community. A Mental Health Worker works as one half of a team which provides treatment services to families, including therapy and counseling to a child and family. The Family Based Team (a masters level and bachelors level therapist) helps with skills training and education designed to enable families to care for their children with mental health needs at home. The FBT works flexible hours, including evenings and possibly weekends, to meet the needs of the children and families on their assigned caseload. The FBT travels to client homes, other agencies, and community locations for the purpose of arranging and providing community and home-based services for children, adolescents, and families.
