Responsibilities

• Perform direct observation of patients with mental health or behavioral safety needs.
• Utilize specialized training and de-escalation techniques to create a therapeutic environment.
• Communicate patient mental and/or physical status changes to the primary Registered Nurse and/or Nurse Leader.
• Complete data collection related to patient care and administer basic treatments under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Assume personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related human services field preferred.
• One year experience in an acute care setting, mental health, human services or related preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of therapeutic interventions.
• Basic computer skills.
• BLS certification required.
