About the position
The MEP Design Engineer will play a crucial role in leading the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for data centers, focusing on green energy initiatives. This contract position requires expertise in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling to ensure optimal airflow and cooling in facilities. The engineer will also support other facility sections, including plumbing and air compressors, while adhering to HVAC and electrical codes.
Responsibilities
- Lead design for HVAC and plumbing systems for data centers and other industrial projects
- Create Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling and analysis
- Conduct green energy assessments and reviews following LEED principles
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing HVAC systems for data centers
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required (EITs certified prior to start are acceptable)
