About the position

The Fire Sprinkler Designer will be responsible for drafting and designing fire protection and fire sprinkler components for various building projects. This role involves collaborating with engineers, adhering to NFPA13 codes, and conducting site surveys to assess existing conditions. The position requires proficiency in AutoSprink and AutoCAD, with a focus on both new construction and modifications to existing structures.

Responsibilities

• Draft and design fire protection and fire sprinkler components for buildings.
• Reference NFPA13 codes while drafting and designing.
• Travel to job sites for existing condition surveys.
• Work on both simple relocates (existing buildings) and new construction projects.
• Use AutoSprink to produce design documents.

Requirements

• Ability to draft and design using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Experience in fire protection, specifically fire sprinkler systems for buildings.
• Knowledge of NFPA13 (Fire Protection sprinkler code).
• Proficiency in AutoSprink.
• 1-5 years of experience drafting fire sprinkler projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Drafting certificate or degree is a strong plus.
• Ability to travel to job sites for simple projects.
• Experience in both simple relocates (existing buildings) and new construction projects.
