About the position
The MEP Project Manager at Jacobs is responsible for overseeing the delivery of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for large-scale construction projects, particularly in healthcare settings. This role involves managing project progress, ensuring technical performance, and maintaining budget and schedule adherence while mentoring staff and resolving complex project-related issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage overall project delivery for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Provide construction oversight to Owners' Representatives (OARs).
- Resolve complex construction project-related issues, disputes, and disagreements.
- Ensure progress and technical MEP performance of the project.
- Oversee material management, schedule, cost, scope, and safety of the project team.
- Apply proven project management techniques to reduce project delivery costs.
- Mentor staff and contribute to their professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architectural or Construction.
- 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system construction for large-scale projects.
- 4+ years of construction experience with U.S. hospital and healthcare facilities.
- Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, contract management, project delivery methods, building systems/components and technology, team building, and client relationship building.
- Willing and able to work at the client's site with the program team Monday-Friday.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior experience with construction sites in healthcare, education, and/or public buildings.
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
