About The Position

The MEP Project Manager will oversee outreach, design, manufacturing, and testing of equipment to support the mission of the Advanced Manufacturing Center and the Maine Manufacturing Extension Partnership. This role aims to enhance technical manufacturing support for Maine's industries, facilitate research and development within the University System, and educate engineering interns. The position is funded through soft-money, with a salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 based on qualifications and experience.

Requirements

• M.S. in a related Engineering field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five or more years of relevant professional experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet constant deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with industry members.

Nice To Haves

• Substantial experience in project management.
• Significant experience in CNC machining, machine design, engineering design, industrial hygiene, QC, metrology, 3D CAD and CAM.
• Experience advising and directing student research.

Responsibilities

• Direct tasks associated with outreach, design, manufacture, and testing of equipment.
• Provide technical manufacturing support to Maine industry.
