About the position

The MEP Project Manager at PROCON, Inc. is responsible for coordinating the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems across large-scale construction projects. This role serves as a bridge between the construction and design teams, ensuring efficient routing of MEP systems while managing project documentation and communication among various stakeholders. The position involves overseeing the installation of MEP systems, conducting inspections, and maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a scope of work for MEP/FP subcontractors with submitted bidder proposals.
  • Work closely with the design team to ensure the efficient routing of MEP systems, aligning them with the project's structural and architectural plans.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to verify the proper installation of MEP systems.
  • Oversee electronic shop drawings, review submittals, and ensure thorough documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain clear communication with design, project managers, field personnel, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurately managed and accessible to relevant team members.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Project Management, Supervision, and Tracking Job Costs.
  • Experience managing subcontractor relationships.
  • Detail-minded professional with the ability to organize, manage, and coordinate design and construction activities of major projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Proven experience in managing MEP systems for large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting design documents and shop drawings.
  • Familiarity with electronic documentation and project management tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate coordination between various teams and stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with field inspections and understanding of MEP installation processes.
