About the position

The MEP Project Manager at the University of Arizona Global Campus will oversee outreach, design, manufacturing, and testing of equipment for the Advanced Manufacturing Center and the Maine Manufacturing Extension Partnership. This role aims to support Maine's manufacturing industry, enhance research and development functions, and educate university interns in engineering best practices. The position is funded through soft-money, with a salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 based on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct tasks associated with outreach, design, manufacture, and testing of equipment.
• Provide technical manufacturing support to Maine industry.
• Support research and development functions of the University System.
• Facilitate economic development efforts in the state.
• Educate university student interns in engineering best practices.

Requirements

• M.S. in a related Engineering field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five or more years of relevant professional experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet constant deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with industry members.

Nice-to-haves

• Substantial experience in project management.
• Significant experience in CNC machining, machine design, engineering design, industrial hygiene, QC, metrology, 3D CAD and CAM.
• Experience advising and directing student research.
