About the position

Adecco is assisting a large retail Distribution Center in recruiting for a Merchandise Controller in the Compton, California area. This position is a long-term temporary-to-hire opportunity, offering a pay rate of $21 per hour. The role is available for both 1st and 2nd shifts, with the 1st shift running from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm and the 2nd shift from 4:00 pm to 12:30 am. Some weekend work may be required. The Merchandise Controller serves as a liaison and problem solver between the Distribution Center and the Merchandising Departments. This role involves communicating vital product information to the appropriate Merchandise Control Management and Home Office Management associates. The Merchandise Controller is responsible for receiving all advertising information and production instructions from the Home Office, creating, maintaining, and distributing advertising updates to building teams. Additionally, the position requires monitoring and auditing the internal computer system SCAN to ensure that accurate information is logged. The Merchandise Controller will also send samples and pictures of products to the Home Office Corporate planning teams, manage the return to vendor processes, and maintain all necessary files for the Merchandising Department. Special projects may also be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
