About the position

The Merchandise Handler position is essential for ensuring the efficient processing and handling of orders at our Distribution Centers. This role involves maximizing company growth and profitability by managing the logistics of product movement, including loading, unloading, picking, and packing merchandise. The Merchandise Handler will work collaboratively within a team to meet daily productivity goals while adhering to safety and security guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maximize company growth and profitability through processing and handling of all Crate and Barrel orders.
• Load/unload, pick, putaway, replenish, and wrap merchandise as well as use hand-operated equipment.
• Perform all job tasks assigned by leadership staff to achieve daily productivity.
• Rotate through different departments as necessary to meet business demands.
• Follow loss prevention and security guidelines to minimize inventory shrinkage and profit loss.
• Move merchandise, supplies, and/or boxes repetitively.
• Promote a culture of respect and teamwork to foster a positive working environment.
• Abide by established dependability guidelines to maintain business productivity.
• Adhere to company safety guidelines to prevent personal injury and product and facility damage.

Requirements

• Ability to move and/or lift up to 65 pounds; heavier merchandise with team assistance.
• English language skills (written and verbal) preferred.
• Must work effectively as a team member.
• Warehouse experience a plus.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent preferred.
• Basic math skills preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Benefits

• Starting pay at $16.50, or $16.50+ based on experience.
• $1.00 shift differential for 2nd shift.
