About the position

As a Merchandise Planner, you will be responsible for creating, communicating, and executing strategic merchandise plans that drive financial results. This role involves collaboration with Planning, Buying, and Allocation teams, as well as other cross-functional partners, to support financial targets across the U.S. and Canadian markets. The position is crucial for delivering an exceptional consumer experience and achieving financial objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage annual and seasonal merchandise plans, leveraging historical data, market influences, and sales trends for accurate forecasting.
• Oversee in-season business management by monitoring sales performance, identifying opportunities and risks, and ensuring product assortments support country-specific sales targets.
• Lead the Open-To-Buy (OTB) process, adjusting forecasts and inventory as necessary to achieve financial targets.
• Build and maintain strong collaborative partnerships with cross-functional teams, aligning on shared objectives.
• Use merchandise planning expertise to drive the planning process, achieving both financial and strategic objectives.
• Utilize system tools, reporting capabilities, and data analysis to monitor business trends and implement actionable strategies.
• Proactively engage with cross-functional business partners to enhance knowledge and align on business strategies.

Requirements

• 5-8 years in Merchandise Planning, ideally in an omni-channel or multi-retail concept environment.
• Advanced analytical, communication, and Excel skills.
• Preferred experience in merchandise planning systems (e.g., Blue Yonder, SAP).
• A proactive business management approach and timely completion of responsibilities.
• Collaborative team orientation.
