This position is part of the corporate Planning team and is responsible for building and presenting pre-season merchandise plans that align with the company's financial objectives and business trends. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver sales plans and involves analyzing in-season sales trends to recommend pricing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Build and present pre-season merchandise plans that align with financial objectives and business trends.
- Utilize historical data to develop viable forecasts that support corporate and merchant vision.
- Partner with the Planning Manager to create a quantitative pre-season assortment plan.
- Identify key investments with merchants and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver sales plans.
- Analyze in-season sales trends to recommend promotional pricing and manage inventory in conjunction with buying partners.
- Identify ideal flow buys of core items to support sales forecasts and optimize sell-through, turn, and warehouse capacity.
- Use creative problem-solving to minimize inventory investments.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of inventory management or retail planning experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- A strong sense of ownership over work and driving results.
- Ability to work in a team dynamic and willingness to take initiative.
