The primary responsibilities include performing reset and remodel work, which encompasses reading and implementing plan-o-grams, placing new items, correcting voids, and engaging in special merchandising activities. Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential, as building relationships with business partners is a key aspect of the role. In this position, the merchandiser will be tasked with various duties such as moving and cleaning shelves, installing new racks, displaying merchandise correctly, and ensuring that shelf strips and tags are attached properly. The role also involves checking date codes and maintaining plan-o-gram integrity, as well as processing pack-outs, restocks, and reorders as necessary. Collaboration with store personnel and co-workers is crucial to achieving and maintaining merchandising excellence, discussing changes, and fostering effective working relationships. Additionally, the merchandiser will be required to report observations and issues to the Mandate Senior Area Manager or Mandate Area Manager. Proficiency in web-based applications is necessary for managing work availability, checking schedules, accepting assignments, and documenting work-related information. Safety is a priority, and the merchandiser must demonstrate awareness of their surroundings and utilize proper safety techniques. Other duties may be assigned as needed, and adherence to Acosta's policies and standard operating procedures is expected.
