About the position

The Merchandiser at Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Company plays a crucial role in the sales process by ensuring that products are displayed effectively and appealingly at customer locations. This position involves visiting various sites to set out products, rotate stock, and install and maintain point-of-sale displays that reflect the company's merchandising standards and the iconic Coca-Cola brand image. The Merchandiser acts as a corporate liaison for the sales team, ensuring professional interactions with customers while maintaining a clean and neat appearance at all times. In this role, the Merchandiser is responsible for following the company's merchandising standards and sales campaign diagrams to create visually appealing product displays. This includes proper rotation procedures for all product areas, such as shelving, coolers, displays, and back-stock. The Merchandiser will also install and maintain various point-of-sale items, including discount coupons, channel price tags, display headers, pole signs, and static clings. Additionally, the Merchandiser will assist the Account Manager with price-management issues and communicate any account issues or potential opportunities to the sales/account manager or supervisor in a timely manner. Maintaining a clean and orderly work area is essential, as is ensuring a safe environment for themselves, customers, and consumers. The Merchandiser will also be responsible for performing minor maintenance on displays and reporting any escalated repairs to the Merchandising Supervisor. Other duties may be assigned as required.

Responsibilities

  • Follow Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottlings merchandising standards and sales campaign diagrams.
  • Set out and rotate products to make visually appealing to consumers and to positively reflect the company and iconic Coca-Cola brand image.
  • Act as corporate liaison for sales team and ensure professional contact with customers, while maintaining a clean and neat appearance at all times.
  • Follow proper rotation procedure for all product areas (i.e. shelving, coolers, displays and back-stock).
  • Install and maintain point of sale items such as: discount coupons, channel price tags, display headers, pole signs, static clings, etc.
  • Assist Account Manager with price-management issues.
  • Communicate timely to the sales/account manager and/or supervisor any account issues or potential opportunities.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area while ensuring a safe environment for themselves, customers, and consumers.
  • Keep back stock area organized, clean, and condensed per company and customer standards.
  • Regularly perform minor as-needed maintenance on displays, and report escalated repairs to Merchandising Supervisor.
  • Other duties as required.
