About the position

As a Merchandiser Retail Coverage - Walmart - PRIMARY at Acosta, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that Acosta's client brands are prominently displayed and available at Walmart stores. Your primary responsibility will be to execute retail merchandising activities that connect customers with the brands they love, enhancing their shopping experience in one of the largest retail environments in the world. This position offers a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same, allowing you to engage with a variety of products and tasks. You will be expected to work a flexible schedule, with part-time positions requiring 2-4 days a week and full-time positions requiring at least 5 days a week, including Fridays. Your work hours will typically start between 6 AM and 9 AM, and you will complete your tasks by 6 PM, ensuring that you do not have evening shifts. Your responsibilities will include locating merchandise in the backroom, stocking and packing out products, straightening products on shelves, and managing promotional materials such as coupons and signage. In this role, you will utilize a company-issued mobile device to navigate various applications, answer questions, and document your completed work with photos. You will represent Acosta and its clients in your assigned Walmart store(s), collaborating closely with store management and associates to ensure that merchandising tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Building strong relationships with store personnel will be key to your success, as you will be seen as the go-to Acosta resource in your stores. Your ability to communicate effectively with store associates, managers, and your direct manager will be essential. You will be expected to follow detailed instructions closely, report your work on the same day it is completed, and leverage the support of the Walmart team nationwide to share best practices and overcome challenges. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working independently while being part of a larger team.

Responsibilities

• Locate merchandise in the backroom, stock and pack out products.
• Straighten product on the shelf.
• Receive and transport coupons and signage materials to place in store.
• Use a company-issued mobile device to complete work while navigating multiple applications.
• Answer simple, step-by-step questions within Acosta's field technology on the mobile device.
• Take photos of completed work to demonstrate success.
• Represent Acosta and Acosta clients in assigned Walmart store(s).
• Partner with Walmart store management and associates to complete tasks.
• Collaborate with direct manager via email, phone, and text.

Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
