The Merchandiser position is a part-time role focused on product merchandising within large volume stores, such as grocery stores. The primary responsibilities include stocking shelves, rotating shelved products, setting up displays, and managing products in coolers. The role requires the individual to organize and rotate products in storage rooms and move products from storage to the sales floor. This position is labor-intensive, necessitating physical strength and stamina, as it involves lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling cases that weigh between 20 to 45 pounds. Additionally, the job requires bending, reaching, and squatting while merchandising and moving products. The work follows a consistent schedule with specific start times and designated customers, providing an opportunity to attain different work schedules over time. In this role, the Merchandiser will interact with store personnel, building customer relationships at the store level. The position also involves communicating store issues to store managers and Pepsi management, ensuring compliance with operating procedures such as scan-in/scan-out and following designated routes. The Merchandiser is expected to deliver excellent customer service, which includes effective communication, rapport building, and attentiveness to customer needs. The ability to operate under minimal supervision is essential, as this is a self-managed role. Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is a must, and the use of handheld devices to write or input orders is also required.
