About the position
As the Department Manager for Merchandise and Inventory at PetSmart, you will ensure that the store runs smoothly, from head to tail. Your role will involve motivating associates and ensuring the right products are available on the floor, driving the success of the store by providing customers with an engaging and personalized shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of plan-o-grams and organize promotional and sale price changes.
- Oversee fulfillment of In-Store Pick Up Orders.
- Lead a team of Stocking Associates to maintain a fully stocked and clean environment.
- Provide guidance and development to associates to help them grow their careers.
- Create an exceptional customer experience by ensuring associates have extensive knowledge of pet solutions.
- Build connections with pet parents to ensure a safe and fun environment in the store.
Requirements
- Experience in retail management or a similar role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to motivate and develop associates.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of merchandising and inventory management.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a pet-related retail environment.
- Familiarity with plan-o-gram execution.
- Previous experience in customer service roles.
