About the position

As the Merchandising and Inventory Manager at PetSmart, you will oversee the smooth operation of the store, focusing on merchandising and inventory management. Your role will involve motivating associates, ensuring product availability, and enhancing the customer shopping experience. You will lead a team to execute merchandising plans, manage inventory, and create a safe and engaging environment for both pets and pet parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of plan-o-grams and promotional changes.
• Oversee the fulfillment of In-Store Pick Up Orders.
• Manage a team of Stocking Associates to maintain a clean and stocked environment.
• Provide guidance and development opportunities for associates.
• Ensure an exceptional customer experience by training associates on pet solutions.

Requirements

• Experience in retail management or a similar role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to motivate and develop team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of merchandising and inventory management.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a pet-related retail environment.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory software.
