About the position

The Merchandising Coordinator for Maybelline is responsible for managing day-to-day communications across various departments, including Sales, Marketing, and Creative. This role focuses on driving the brand's merchandising vision, ensuring timely execution of planograms, and leading the coordination of seasonal item information. The coordinator will also manage creative briefings, artwork strategies, and account feedback to maintain brand consistency and support sales efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day communications between Fields Sales, Marketing, Category Development, Creative & Wall Strategy Merch Ops.
  • Responsible for all merchandising meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Collaborate with Category Development, Field Sales, Marketing, and N+1 to drive brand merchandising vision for Maybelline across Food, Drug, and Mass accounts.
  • Create and execute retailer-specific basic planograms each season, including POG briefings.
  • Ensure all planograms are released on time based on retailer needs with Wall Strategy Merch Ops.
  • Optimize product mixes to drive productivity in collaboration with N+1 and Brand Activation sales team.
  • Lead new merchandising fixture briefs & execution for cassettes and permanent merchandising solutions, including budget management.
  • Coordinate all seasonal item information for Field Sales & Category Development to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Lead creative briefings for all seasonal national and account-specific permanent hot spots and aisletalkers.
  • Manage the copy process and copy sheet, ensuring timely delivery rooted in consumer insights.
  • Assist with executing seasonal artwork strategy, working with Creative, Marketing, and CMI.
  • Manage account feedback and approvals with marketing, Wall Strategy Merch Ops, and Creative.
  • Ensure all national artwork is consistent with brand equity and marketing priorities.
  • Assist with preparing and managing monthly management meetings, including presentation creation and planogram development.
  • Drive account-specific elevation in collaboration with Brand Activation.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of related business experience.
  • Marketing, merchandising, or sales-related experience is highly desired.
  • Consumer package goods or beauty industry experience is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of planograms, merchandising design, retailer strategies, and in-store innovation is highly desired.
  • Experience diagnosing consumer shopping behaviors and adapting strategy.
