About the position
The Merchandising Intern position at Duluth Trading Company is a 10-week paid internship designed for college students, running from June 2nd to August 8th. Interns will engage in real-life tasks and projects within a dynamic omnichannel retail environment, gaining hands-on experience in product merchandising and strategic planning.
Responsibilities
- Develop seasonal product strategies that meet financial targets.
- Maintain the integrity of spreadsheets and assortment tools.
- Participate in omnichannel execution planning.
- Respond to customer insights with meaningful assortment planning.
- Proofread promotional content for catalog production, email marketing, and retail events.
- Analyze business performance and report key information to management.
- Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional business partners.
Requirements
- Passion for the apparel industry and eagerness to learn about Product Merchandising.
- Familiarity with the omnichannel business model.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel domestically.
