About the position

The ideal Nordstrom Rack team member enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. A day in the life involves keeping the customer experience quick, easy, and fun while helping customers uncover the great deals they're looking for. This includes creating a smooth fitting room experience by greeting customers and taking them to their fitting rooms, then sorting and returning clothing to the floor. Team collaboration is essential to ensure the sales floor stays 'runway ready' through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day. Additionally, team members are responsible for receiving, unloading freight, unpacking, and delivering newly arrived merchandise to selling departments. Keeping the stockrooms organized and completing all inventory processes is crucial, ensuring that merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed. Team members are also accountable for supporting all merchandise processes, including filling in, markdowns, and re-ticketing.

Responsibilities

• Keep the customer experience quick, easy, and fun while helping customers uncover great deals.
• Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting customers and taking them to their fitting rooms, then sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
• Work with the team to ensure the sales floor stays 'runway ready' through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
• Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
• Keep the stockrooms organized and complete all inventory processes, making sure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
• Support all merchandise processes including filling in, markdowns, and re-ticketing.

Requirements

• Clear, effective communication with strong interpersonal skills.
• Accountability, initiative, and a high level of ownership.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• The ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• The ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
