About the position

The Merchandising Lead at Walmart is responsible for providing exceptional member service, supervising associates, and ensuring the effective presentation and maintenance of merchandise on the sales floor. This role involves training and guiding team members, managing inventory, and maintaining safety and compliance standards. The position also emphasizes leadership qualities, integrity, and a commitment to customer service, while supporting the company's goals and values.

Responsibilities

  • Provide member service by acknowledging member needs and assisting with purchasing decisions.
  • Supervise associates by assigning duties, communicating goals, and providing training on processes and procedures.
  • Receive and stock supplies and merchandise, organizing and maintaining the sales floor.
  • Conduct safety sweeps and ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
  • Maintain the sales floor and merchandise presentation, including handling claims and returns.
  • Monitor food and merchandise quality, ensuring product rotation and sanitation standards are followed.
  • Oversee the picking and staging of club pick-up orders throughout the day.
  • Develop and implement processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers and co-workers.
  • Promote compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Lead and participate in teams, providing support and feedback to ensure work quality.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 6 months of retail experience.
  • 6 months of customer service experience.
