About the position

The Merchandising Lead at Walmart is responsible for providing exceptional member service, supervising associates, and maintaining the sales floor. This role involves guiding members in their purchasing decisions, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The Merchandising Lead also oversees inventory management, product quality, and the implementation of business processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide member service by acknowledging member needs and assisting with purchasing decisions.
  • Supervise associates by assigning duties, communicating goals, and providing training on processes and procedures.
  • Receive and stock supplies and merchandise, organizing and maintaining the sales floor.
  • Conduct safety sweeps and ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
  • Maintain merchandise presentation and handle claims and returns according to company guidelines.
  • Monitor food and merchandise quality, ensuring product rotation and sanitation standards are followed.
  • Oversee the picking and staging of club pick-up orders throughout the day.
  • Develop and implement processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers and co-workers.
  • Promote compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Lead and participate in teams to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 6 months of retail experience.
  • 6 months of customer service experience.
