About the position

The Merchandising Lead at Walmart is responsible for providing exceptional member service, supervising associates, and maintaining the sales floor. This role involves assisting members with their needs, training staff, ensuring compliance with company policies, and overseeing the organization and presentation of merchandise. The position also includes monitoring product quality and safety, implementing business processes, and promoting a culture of ethics and integrity within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide member service by acknowledging member needs and assisting with purchasing decisions.
  • Supervise associates by assigning duties, communicating goals, and providing training on processes and procedures.
  • Receive and stock supplies and merchandise, organizing and maintaining the sales floor.
  • Conduct safety sweeps and ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
  • Maintain the sales floor and merchandise presentation according to company standards.
  • Monitor food and merchandise quality, ensuring product rotation and sanitation standards are followed.
  • Oversee the picking and staging of club pick up orders throughout the day.
  • Develop and implement processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers and co-workers.
  • Promote compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Lead and participate in teams to ensure work quality and timelines are achieved.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 6 months retail experience.
  • 6 months customer service experience.
