About the position

The Merchandising Lead plays a crucial role in supporting merchandising efforts within designated zones of the store. This position is responsible for maintaining visual standards, driving sales through effective merchandising techniques, and ensuring a positive customer experience. The lead will influence and educate team members on visual merchandising while upholding company standards and promoting a culture of ethical conduct and safety.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of visual merchandising processes by planning and leading transitions and resets.
• Oversee task management by planning and executing daily/weekly workloads in partnership with the Zone Manager.
• Participate in freight processes for incoming merchandise and maintain organized zones.
• Support customer satisfaction, inventory control, and loss prevention efforts.
• Serve as a role model and coach in visual merchandising, providing continuous learning opportunities to team members.
• Review store financial data and act to improve sales and expenses within assigned zones.
• Ensure maintenance of a neat, clean, and organized zone with current signage.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal, written, and comprehension skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. or team lift 100 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail in visual merchandising standards.
• Reliable and trustworthy with ethical behavior.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in retail merchandising or visual presentation.
• Leadership experience in a retail environment.
