About the position

The Merchandising Lead at Walmart is responsible for providing exceptional member service, supervising associates, and maintaining the sales floor. This role involves assisting members with their needs, managing inventory, ensuring compliance with safety and company policies, and leading teams to achieve business objectives. The position requires a focus on member satisfaction, effective communication, and collaboration with management and associates.

Responsibilities

  • Provides member service by acknowledging member needs and assisting with purchasing decisions.
  • Supervises associates by assigning duties, communicating goals, and providing training on processes and procedures.
  • Receives and stocks supplies and merchandise, organizing and maintaining the sales floor.
  • Conducts safety sweeps and ensures compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintains merchandise presentation and handles claims and returns according to company policies.
  • Monitors food and merchandise quality, ensuring product rotation and sanitation standards are followed.
  • Oversees the picking and staging of club pick-up orders throughout the day.
  • Develops and implements processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers and co-workers.
  • Promotes compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Leads and participates in teams to coordinate work assignments and ensure quality.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 6 months retail experience.
  • 6 months customer service experience.
