As a Merchandising Manager in the fashion category, you will play a pivotal role in the overall development, direction, coordination, and execution of merchandising projects and initiatives. In this position, you will oversee the Merchandising Services team, guiding them through the complexities of project management. You will be responsible for developing project scopes and objectives, ensuring that all necessary stakeholders are involved to guarantee technical feasibility. Your expertise will be crucial in time-lining projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are executed efficiently and effectively. You will also manage budgets associated with these projects, assisting stakeholders with contract negotiations and budgetary decisions. Your role will require you to research, interpret, and report data findings from various projects and initiatives, providing valuable insights to the appropriate parties. As a leader, you will mentor and train your team members, helping them to achieve their developmental goals and manage their performance effectively. This is a dynamic position that requires a blend of strategic thinking, leadership, and a passion for merchandising.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine necessary merchandising projects and initiatives.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all appropriate stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility.
  • Timeline projects from conception to completion to ensure efficient and streamlined project completion.
  • Develop detailed project/initiative plans to track progress.
  • Manage budgets associated with projects and initiatives.
  • Assist stakeholders with contract negotiation and budgetary decisions.
  • Research, interpret, and report data/findings from projects and initiatives to appropriate parties.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, training, developmental goals, and performance management to merchandising services team members.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years of merchandising experience.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of project management-related experience in merchandising, procurement, pricing, supply chain, or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the fashion industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data interpretation.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce merchandising strategies.
