Merchandising Manager

About the position

Houston's Inc. is seeking a Merchandising Manager to oversee a team of merchandisers and supervisors within assigned merchandising accounts. This role is crucial for ensuring that merchandising standards are met, and it involves hiring, training, and scheduling staff while maintaining strong relationships with clients. Responsibilities

• Facilitate hiring, training, and scheduling of supervisors and merchandisers
• Ensure day-to-day supervisor and merchandiser duties are performed to company standards
• Responsible for overall appearance and cleanliness of accounts
• Oversee disciplinary actions
• Provide supervisor and merchandiser coverage when/where needed
• Monitor account inventory levels and perform store audits
• Build and maintain promotional displays
• Use handheld devices to input/submit orders
• Provide exceptional customer service and work closely with personnel
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid government-issued identification
• Maintain a clean and neat appearance
• Leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills
• Ability to analyze problems, set priorities, and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of order taking, product rotation, and inventory management
• Excellent organizational skills, self-motivated and dependable
• High School graduate or GED
• 3 years of management experience preferred
