About the position

The Merch Ops - Business Acceleration Manager at CVS Health is responsible for driving strategy and profit improvement initiatives in collaboration with Category Managers and leadership. This role involves analyzing market trends, vendor economics, and customer insights to enhance business performance. The manager will leverage data analytics to identify sales and profit opportunities, support vendor negotiations, and execute performance improvement projects while fostering relationships across various teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis to identify sales, cost, and profit opportunities across SKUs and vendors.
• Enact a customer-first perspective to approach problems through a macro, cross-team lens.
• Drive the execution of performance improvement projects based on data analytics.
• Establish working relationships and gain support across all levels and functions within the enterprise.
• Develop analytical materials for internal category reviews and assortment discussions.
• Provide direct vendor negotiations support to Merchants.
• Enhance and enforce documentation, archiving, and audit processes for vendor agreements.
• Work on special projects and ad hoc analysis related to assortment performance and cost management.
• Assist in designing initiative pilots and deploying them in select stores to measure success.

Requirements

• 1+ years of analytical and problem-solving skills.
• 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

• Merchandising experience and understanding of retail merchandising basics.
• Experience with Tableau for data visualization.
