About the position

As a Merchandising Operations Coordinator at The RealReal, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all merchandise inquiries and managing inventory across various cross-functional departments. Our Authentication Centers, located in New Jersey and Arizona, are where the magic happens, combining the expertise of luxury professionals with advanced technology to process, authenticate, and photograph consigned goods for listing on our website. This position is ideal for self-motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, production-driven environment. You will be responsible for supporting authentication inventory control management, utilizing a master inventory control tracker to locate items outside of service level agreements (SLA), and tracking each item through detailed notes and investigation efforts. Collaboration with internal departments is key to resolving operational issues that impact inventory, and you will follow standard operating procedures (SOP) to complete tasks in a timely manner. Additionally, you will surface risks and opportunities to Authentication leaders for strategic problem-solving and communicate challenges to management in real-time.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all merchandise inquiries and inventory management within cross-functional departments.
  • Support authentication inventory control management.
  • Utilize master inventory control tracker to locate items outside of SLA.
  • Track each item via detailed notes and investigation efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve operational issues impacting inventory.
  • Follow SOP for tactical steps and complete each task in a timely manner.
  • Surface risks and opportunities to Authentication leaders for strategic problem-solving.
  • Communicate challenges and blockers to inventory task completion to Authentication management in real-time.

Requirements

  • Comfortable with Google Sheets/Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with great time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks and troubleshoot problems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in inventory management or operations coordination.
  • Familiarity with luxury goods and the resale market.
