About the position

The Merchandising Sales Associate position is a vital role within the Field Activity Support Team (FAST), primarily focused on executing various merchandising tasks in a high-volume retail environment. This position is responsible for managing and completing a range of variable tasks from start to finish, including planograms, signage, price changes, and physical inventories. The associate will also provide support for additional tasks such as merchandise and fixture assembly, ensuring that all signage is maintained to the highest standards. A key aspect of this role is to deliver exceptional customer service, engaging with customers and team members to create a positive shopping experience. As a member of the FAST team, the associate must demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a strong service orientation. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential, with scheduled shifts typically occurring from Monday to Thursday, although this may vary based on business needs. The associate will communicate proactively with the District FAST Supervisor regarding work completion, issues encountered, and potential solutions. Responsibilities include accurately completing planograms and resets, maintaining visual merchandise standards, performing store-specific measurements, and executing store layout initiatives. The associate will also conduct accurate counts for store inventories and cycle counts, manage price changes, and hang various store signage, including Circulars and Managers' Specials. In addition to these tasks, the associate will assemble merchandise, fixtures, and PDQs, and ensure the integrity of planograms through detailed recovery processes. Customer interaction is a priority, and associates are expected to follow the GURA approach: Greeting the customer, Uncovering their needs, Recommending products, and Asking for the sale. Team members may also be assigned additional duties as needed, contributing to a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts Monday thru Thursday unless otherwise dictated by business needs.
• Communicate proactively and regularly with District FAST Supervisor on work completion, issues, and offer solutions to overcome.
• Complete planograms and resets accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain visual merchandise standards.
• Perform store specific measurements.
• Complete store layout initiatives.
• Perform accurate counts for store inventories, as well as cycle counts.
• Complete Tractor Way top cap process.
• Complete store price changes accurately and in a timely manner.
• Hang store signage including, but not limited to, Circulars, Price Cuts and Managers' Specials.
• Assemble merchandise, fixtures and PDQs.
• Perform detailed recovery and review planogram integrity.
• Make the customer a priority when approached and provide legendary customer service while in stores through the use of GURA: Greet the Customer, Uncover the Customers' needs, Recommend products, Ask for the Sale.
• Provide peak coverage as needed (e.g., DAT).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• No experience is required.
• High School Diploma is preferred.
• Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Nice-to-haves

• Farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict.
• Must be self-directed and have the ability to complete assignments with little to no assistance.
