About the position

The Merchandising Service Manager (MSM) at Lowe's is responsible for overseeing the execution of merchandising services, project management, and maintenance activities within the store. This role focuses on ensuring that the store is clean, safe, and stocked with accessible merchandise while providing quality customer service. The MSM leads a team of associates, coaches them on performance, and collaborates with other departments to enhance the overall shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Merchandising Service team and manage resources for efficient project execution.
• Guide Merchandising Service Associates (MSAs) on project priorities and expectations.
• Deliver onboarding and training, providing on-the-job coaching and mentorship to MSAs.
• Handle disciplinary actions and partner with HR as needed.
• Manage project and travel expenses and weekly payroll.
• Identify and resolve project and store-level issues using available resources.
• Communicate project information and updates with store team and corporate teams.
• Oversee that merchandise is stocked and displayed according to planograms and safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards to maintain store cleanliness and organization.
• Conduct daily safety reviews and maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of customer service or retail experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Less than 1 year of experience as a team lead or in a supervisory role preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of supervisory experience including coaching and evaluating performance.
• Experience in merchandising and reading planograms.
• Experience operating power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
