About The Position

The Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and underwriting MCA applications to ensure sound credit decisions. Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience underwriting merchant cash advances or other alternative financing products.

Responsibilities

• Analyze MCA applications, including merchant financial statements, bank statements, credit reports, and other relevant documentation.
• Assess cash flow, payment processing history, and business performance to determine creditworthiness and funding eligibility.
• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify potential risks and recommend approval, modification, or decline of funding requests.
• Ensure compliance with internal underwriting guidelines and risk tolerance thresholds.
• Make sound, data-driven decisions while adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Provide clear justifications for approvals or declines, supported by detailed financial analysis.
• Communicate underwriting decisions effectively to internal stakeholders and explain recommendations as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions and ensure proper documentation of all analysis and approvals.
