About the position

The Merchant Onboarding Specialist is a key role focused on enhancing merchant acquisition and ensuring seamless integration with the card processing platform. This position involves managing the onboarding process, handling technical setups of payment terminals and POS accounts, and providing product demonstrations to potential merchants and resellers. The specialist will also represent the company at industry conferences and gather feedback to improve onboarding processes.

Responsibilities

  • Actively engage with potential merchants and resellers, conducting detailed product demonstrations.
  • Guide merchants through the technical and procedural aspects of onboarding.
  • Configure and set up POS accounts for new merchants, ensuring correct integration with the processing platform.
  • Handle the technical setup and activation of payment terminals, including hardware installation and software configuration.
  • Conduct thorough testing of POS systems and payment terminals to verify proper functionality.
  • Guide merchants through the application process, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with the underwriting team to facilitate application processing and resolve technical issues.
  • Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure contracts are correctly prepared and executed.
  • Oversee the full onboarding cycle from engagement to complete technical integration.
  • Deliver product demonstrations to potential clients and resellers, customizing them to specific needs.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, showcasing technical strengths.
  • Gather feedback from newly onboarded merchants to improve onboarding processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in merchant services, specifically in onboarding and setting up card processing systems.
  • Hands-on experience with payment terminals, POS systems, and technical testing.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting POS systems and payment terminals.
  • Familiarity with card processing software, terminal hardware, and system integration processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong technical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
