About the position

The Merchant Service Onboarding and Data Entry Specialist at Abacus Business Computer is responsible for facilitating the onboarding process for new merchants, ensuring a smooth transition to payment processing services. This role involves accurate data entry, documentation management, and providing support during the setup phase, while also acting as a point of contact for merchants throughout the onboarding process.

Responsibilities

  • Guide new merchants through the onboarding process, explaining necessary steps, documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Accurately input and manage merchant information in the company's database, ensuring all records are up-to-date and error-free.
  • Collect, verify, and organize documentation required for merchant accounts, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Provide initial training and support to merchants on using our services, including payment processing tools and platforms.
  • Act as a point of contact for merchants during the onboarding process, addressing questions and concerns promptly.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including sales and customer support, to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Generate reports on onboarding progress and data accuracy, identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in data entry, customer service, or merchant onboarding is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with payment processing systems and merchant services is advantageous.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of compliance regulations related to payment processing.
  • Experience with CRM and database management tools.
