About the position

Join Onsight Healthcare's Hospitality Valet Team at Mercy Medical Plaza in Des Moines! This full-time position offers a competitive pay of $15.00 per hour plus tips, with a work schedule from Monday to Friday, allowing weekends off. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the experience of patients, visitors, and staff at the hospital. Your responsibilities will include greeting individuals with a warm and friendly demeanor, providing exceptional valet services, and ensuring the safety and security of both people and vehicles. You will assist individuals with mobility challenges, offering wheelchair and escort services as needed, and meticulously maintain records while managing parking logistics efficiently. Additionally, you will provide accurate directions and helpful information about the hospital facilities, contributing to a positive and supportive environment for all. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients, visitors, and staff with a consistently warm, friendly demeanor.
  • Provide exceptional valet services, ensuring the safety and security of people and vehicles.
  • Assist individuals with mobility challenges, offering wheelchair and escort services as needed.
  • Meticulously maintain records and efficiently manage parking logistics.
  • Provide accurate directions and helpful information about the hospital facilities.

Requirements

  • Over the age of 18 years old
  • Eligible to work for any U.S. Employer
  • High school Diploma or GED required
  • Possess a valid active in-state regular driver's license (No Permits or Probationary License)
  • Have driven, and maintained, a clean driving record for the past 5 years
  • Ability to adequately operate apps/technology on a tablet and learn new software that may have to be applied to the daily tasks for this role.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, paying attention to surroundings and details.
  • Ability to work in a stationary position for hours at a time in an outdoor environment.
  • Ability to move with urgency and speed.
  • Safely and physically able to lift upwards of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with hospital staff, patients, guests, and team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
