About the position

The Mergers & Acquisitions Director at Bowman Consulting Group is responsible for developing and executing the M&A agenda to meet corporate growth goals. This role involves providing oversight and direction for M&A strategy, identifying potential targets, and managing post-merger integration while ensuring alignment with the firm's long-term strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and direction of M&A strategy.
  • Prepare and execute a plan aligned with the firm's long-term strategic goals.
  • Ensure appropriate controls and systems are in place for performance monitoring.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Identify potential M&A targets and strategic partnership opportunities.
  • Act as a resource across the organization to enhance collaboration for growth plans.
  • Drive the company to achieve financial and operational objectives through strategic M&A activity.
  • Identify and assist with execution of deals and manage post-merger integration.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain a long-range strategic plan and growth strategy.
  • Manage the strategic planning process and lead market intelligence gathering.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to determine resource allocation and capital planning.

Requirements

  • Ten or more (10+) years of related experience, with at least five (5) years at a managerial level.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Financial management skills to determine funding needs for initiatives.
  • Proven track record of innovation, leadership, and creativity.
  • Thorough understanding of business and financial principles in a consulting context.
  • Ability to travel throughout the country.
