About The Position

The MES Engineer I position at AutomaTech involves developing, testing, commissioning, and supporting Proficy Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to optimize manufacturing processes. The role focuses on creating web applications, generating cloud-based reports, and ensuring seamless integration of MES with existing systems to enhance operational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience with Proficy MES or similar manufacturing execution systems
  • Proficiency in web development technologies and frameworks
  • Familiarity with cloud-based reporting tools, particularly Power BI
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP and SCADA systems
  • Knowledge of data visualization best practices
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Develop, Test, Commission, and Support Proficy Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Design, develop, and implement MES solutions to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation procedures to ensure the reliability and functionality of MES systems
  • Commission MES systems at client sites, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure and processes
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for MES systems, resolving any issues promptly to minimize downtime
  • Build robust and user-friendly web applications to support manufacturing operations and data visualization
  • Utilize modern web development technologies and frameworks to create scalable and efficient solutions
  • Develop and deploy cloud-based reports using tools such as Power BI to provide actionable insights into manufacturing performance
  • Design visually appealing dashboards and reports that effectively communicate key metrics and trends
  • Establish seamless communication and data exchange between different systems within the manufacturing environment, including MES, ERP, and SCADA systems
  • Develop and implement integration solutions to ensure interoperability and data consistency across systems
