About the position

Pratt Industries is seeking a full-time Manufacturing IT Support Analyst to join our Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Team. This position is crucial for supporting the MES technology and applications that drive our manufacturing and automation systems in the paper and corrugated box industry. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including managing project activities, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of MES applications. The successful candidate will work closely with both the development and operations teams to enhance system functionalities, integrate new technologies, and ensure that our manufacturing processes are efficient and effective. As a Manufacturing IT Support Analyst, you will be responsible for building knowledge in the MES applications utilized across our manufacturing facilities. This includes understanding machine technology, corrugator systems, conveyor and automation control systems, and production scheduling systems. You will also be involved in the installation and support of hardware and software technologies, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. Frequent travel to various manufacturing locations throughout the USA will be required, allowing you to engage directly with our operations and support teams. In addition to technical support, you will document business processes, develop training materials, and provide training and support to end users. Responsibilities

  • Support MES technology and applications for manufacturing and automation systems.
  • Manage project activities, testing, implementation, and support of MES applications.
  • Participate in the installation and support of hardware, software, and automation technologies.
  • Work with the development team on enhancements, configuration, integration, and data conversion.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to analyze business requirements and improve systems, processes, and services.
  • Document business processes and develop training materials for end users.
  • Train and support end users on MES applications.

Requirements

  • IT Hardware Support Certification or Computer Science Degree, upcoming degree completion, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the paper or corrugated industry.
  • Software development experience.
  • SQL/Reporting experience.
