About the position

The MES Software Engineer III is responsible for evaluating, designing, and implementing projects that control and interface with manufacturing processes. This role involves developing data visualization and user input systems, as well as database structures and reports. The engineer will collaborate with MES architects and controls engineers to ensure seamless integration with MES hardware and software systems, providing technical knowledge and support to the MES development team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, design, and implement projects for manufacturing process control.
• Design and develop data visualization and user input systems.
• Create database structures, procedures, and reports.
• Collaborate with MES architects and controls engineers for system integration.
• Provide technical knowledge and resources to the MES development team.
• Offer escalated support for clients.

Requirements

• Proven organizational and project managerial skills.
• Expertise in manufacturing software architecture and execution systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and programming skills in C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, T-SQL, and message processing (MSMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Experience in designing and querying SQL Server databases.
• Familiarity with Allen Bradley Logix PLCs and RSLinx software.
• Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition.
• Success in integrating manufacturing hardware and third-party software systems.
• Experience with Service Fabric and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Familiarity with Angular and AngularJS.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, YAML, and deploying via Pipelines.
• Knowledge of Digital Transformation and Industry 4.0.
• Experience in developing and supporting Windows mobile applications.
• Understanding of software development life cycle and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent understanding of computer operating systems and software applications.
• Strong logical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
