Responsibilities
- Fabricate sheet metal and other materials according to specifications.
- Communicate effectively with your supervisor regarding any job-related issues.
- Learn and apply skills related to shop operations, including laying out, cutting, forming, welding, and grinding.
- Train in skills where certification is available and maintain tools and machines.
- Keep the work area safe, clean, and organized.
- Assist in other areas as directed by the Shop Supervisor or Shop Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in metal fabrication.
- Ability to interpret specifications, plans, and drawings.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and experience operating relevant machines and tools.
- Good math skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong physical capability to handle materials and tools.
Nice-to-haves
- Field installation experience.
- Ability to visualize in three dimensions.
- Good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors.
