About the position

The Metaverse Content team focused on Lifestyle and Entertainment experiences is expanding, and we are looking for a Creative Director to join our innovative team. This role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality immersive content across our portfolio, which includes collaborations with top media and sports partners to produce exceptional live events. Additionally, we partner with leading fitness and wellness brands to deliver engaging workouts and mindfulness programs on the Quest platform. As a leader within the Lifestyle & Entertainment team, you will play a crucial role in inspiring the development of new immersive content experiences that delight consumers. In this position, you will work closely with cross-functional teams within Reality Labs, as well as external partners and developers, to manage a rolling portfolio of projects. Your responsibilities will include providing creative direction and design input while collaborating with product and production teams to enhance our tools and features to meet ambitious goals. You will lead a small but impactful team of creative and technical professionals, ensuring that we maintain high standards across all projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep background in interactive content design and/or studio leadership, with experience in both game development and lifestyle experiences, which may encompass fitness, wellness, health, and sports.

Responsibilities

  • Lead creative direction across key virtual and mixed reality applications and Horizon Worlds in the Metaverse Content, Lifestyle & Entertainment portfolio.
  • Manage a small, but impactful team of creative and technical professionals to ensure high quality across projects.
  • Work across cross-functional teams, partners, and developers to provide creative direction and leadership.
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights, as well as interactive content best practices and know-how, to inform direction.
  • Establish measurable outcomes for projects and move success metrics.

Requirements

  • 15+ years in game design, creative director, and/or head of studio experience.
  • Experience working in and influencing global cross-functional teams.
  • Proven project management and operational skills.
  • Ability to deliver results in an ambiguous and rapidly changing business environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • BA/BS degree.
  • Experience working in immersive content, preferably virtual and mixed reality.
  • Deep interest in and understanding of immersive content.
