About the position

The Metaverse Content team focused on Lifestyle and Entertainment experiences is expanding, and we are looking for a Creative Director to join our dynamic group. This team collaborates with leading media and sports partners to create immersive live events and works with innovative fitness and wellness brands to deliver exceptional workouts and mindfulness programs in Quest. As a Creative Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality content across our portfolio, inspiring the development of new immersive experiences that delight consumers. In this position, you will work closely with cross-functional teams within Reality Labs, as well as external partners and developers, to manage a rolling portfolio of projects. Your responsibilities will include providing creative direction and design while collaborating with product and production teams to enhance our tools and features to meet ambitious goals. You will lead a small but impactful team of creative and technical professionals, ensuring that we maintain high standards across all projects. Your leadership will be crucial in partnering with vertical-specific content development teams and outside brands to create engaging and innovative content. The ideal candidate will possess a deep background in interactive content design and/or studio leadership, with experience in both game development and lifestyle experiences, including fitness, wellness, health, and sports. This role requires a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate a rapidly changing business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead creative direction across key virtual and mixed reality applications and Horizon Worlds in the Metaverse Content, Lifestyle & Entertainment portfolio.
  • Manage a small, but impactful team of creative and technical professionals to ensure high quality across projects.
  • Work across cross-functional teams, partners, and developers to provide creative direction and leadership.
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights, as well as interactive content best practices and know-how, to inform direction.
  • Establish measurable outcomes for projects and move success metrics.

Requirements

  • 15+ years in game design, creative director and/or head of studio.
  • Experience working in and influencing global cross-functional teams.
  • Proven project management and operational skills.
  • Experience to deliver results in an ambiguous and rapidly changing business environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • BA/BS degree.
  • Experience working in immersive content, preferably virtual and mixed reality.
  • Deep interest in, and understanding of, immersive content.
