About the position

The Metaverse Content team at Meta is expanding its focus on Lifestyle and Entertainment experiences, and we are looking for a Creative Director to lead this initiative. This role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality immersive content across our portfolio, which includes collaborations with top media and sports partners to create exceptional live events, as well as innovative fitness and wellness programs delivered through our Quest platform. As a leader within the Lifestyle & Entertainment team, you will inspire the development of new immersive content experiences that delight consumers. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional Reality Labs teams and external partners and developers to manage a rolling portfolio of projects. You will provide creative direction and design while working closely with product and production teams to advance our tools and features to meet ambitious goals. In this role, you will manage a small but impactful team of creative and technical professionals, ensuring high quality across all projects. Your responsibilities will include leading creative direction across key virtual and mixed reality applications, particularly within the Metaverse Content, Lifestyle & Entertainment portfolio. You will leverage both quantitative and qualitative insights, along with interactive content best practices, to inform your direction and establish measurable outcomes for projects. Your ability to navigate an ambiguous and rapidly changing business environment will be crucial to delivering results and moving success metrics forward.

Responsibilities

  • Lead creative direction across key virtual and mixed reality applications and Horizon Worlds in the Metaverse Content, Lifestyle & Entertainment portfolio
  • Manage a small, but impactful team of creative and technical professionals to ensure high quality across projects
  • Work across cross-functional teams, partners and developers to provide creative direction and leadership
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights, as well as interactive content best practices and know-how, to inform direction
  • Establish measurable outcomes for projects and move success metrics.

Requirements

  • 15+ years in game design, creative director and/or head of studio
  • Experience working in and influencing global cross-functional teams
  • Proven project management and operational skills
  • Experience to deliver results in an ambiguous and rapidly changing business environment

Nice-to-haves

  • BA/BS degree
  • Experience working in immersive content, preferably virtual and mixed reality
  • Deep interest in, and understanding of, immersive content
