About The Position

As a Meteorologist at Spectrum News, you will focus on delivering accurate and easy-to-understand weather forecasts that are vital for keeping local communities safe and informed. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience forecasting and presenting weathercasts.
• 5+ years of experience in severe weather coverage.
• Bachelor's degree in Meteorology.
• AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) seal or ability to obtain within 18 months of employment.
• Knowledge of synoptic meteorology, tropical and radar systems.
• Working knowledge of TV weather graphics systems.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm in dealing with breaking weather news and high-stress situations.
• Ability to anticipate situations, meet strict deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Meteorology.
• Ability to lift up to five pounds.
