About the position

The Metro Area Sales Manager (ASM) for the Northeast Business Center is a pivotal revenue-generating sales position that focuses on enhancing the performance of Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, and FIAT dealerships within the New Jersey North territory. This role acts as a crucial liaison between the dealerships and Stellantis, facilitating all aspects of retail development. The ASM is responsible for forecasting retail sales objectives by vehicle line, ensuring that dealer orders align with market demand, and managing monthly vehicle scheduling to optimize production capabilities in the area. In addition to these core responsibilities, the ASM will conduct thorough reviews of minimum sales responsibilities (MSR) and provide strategic consultation on improvement opportunities. This includes analyzing dealer financial statements and identifying areas where retail operations can be enhanced. The role also encompasses ensuring that advertising and marketing initiatives are in line with corporate messaging and branding guidelines, while maintaining high levels of sales satisfaction across all dealerships. The Metro Area Sales Manager will play a key role in motivating and leading independent entrepreneurs to achieve higher performance levels, all while meeting Stellantis's internal goals. This position requires a dynamic individual who can effectively manage relationships with dealers and drive sales growth in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong analytical skills to review financial statements and sales data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with dealers and internal teams.
  • Ability to motivate and lead teams towards achieving sales targets.
  • Familiarity with retail development strategies and market analysis.
